August 29, 2014

Well, I am doing really well at posting this year aren't I.  My kids just started back to school this week and I am pouting that summer is almost over.  I miss my kids terribly when they go to school.  Not to say I don't enjoy the time they are gone, but it is fun to have them around and play all summer. Dylan is in 9th grade and is loving playing football on the freshman team.  He is so dedicated and teachable.  Tyler is in a new school this year, 6th grade.  He is playing the cello in orchestra and has made a new friend that is actually a boy.  Malorie is in 3rd grade and has Dylan's same teacher, Mrs. Wilkey.  Sadie starts kindergarten on Tuesday.  We are preparing to go camping at Chaulk Creek for Labor Day weekend.  I canned beans and tomatoes today and am now finishing the laundry and trying to get motivated to clean the basement. :)Shane is at Bennett pump and some days hates it and some days doesn't mind it.  I will start teaching dance in 2 weeks and am still working at the health department.  Life is fun!

Well, it is 2014 and I see it has been almost two years since I started this blog.  Here's to a new year of posts about this little family of mine.  This December was crazy busy.  My niece Jenna got engaged to an amazing guy in September, Aaron Barry.  They were married on December 14th in the Bountiful LDS Temple.  Rachael and I did the catering and decorations.  It was crazy busy, but came together beautifully.  Trent and his family were able to come for the wedding and spend a few days with all of us.  Because of the wedding I wasn't able to have my dance studio perform at its usual Christmas event so I had to put one on myself.  Actually, it was one of the best ones I have had.  I had about 200 people attend.  We did a short Christmas performance then decorated cookies and had photo booths for people to take their pictures.  My mom painted this amazing elf for people to stick their head through and take a picture.  She is so talented.  Christmas came and went, a million family things, and now it is the new year.  I hope it is a good one.  I am hoping to lose some weight this year, to play more with my kids, to love Shane to death and to be really happy.  I hope to be on here more, writing down the events of this amazing life.
